Surgical procedures
The Directorate of Health collects data on surgical procedures from hospitals, health care centres and clinics for the production of statistics. Surgical procedures are classified on the basis of the Nordic Classification of Surgical Procedures (NSCP), first published in 1996 by the Nordic Medico-Statistical Committee (NOMESCO).
